ugh!

OK so, I'm home from Market, I've got a blog started before my Saturday deadline, the girls in the shop are busy finishing up the Farm Fresh block of the month kits (Yes! The new Three Cheers fabric arrived while we were gone-let's here it: hip hip hurray! I couldn't resist that!) and now it's time for me to get back to work but would you look at that pile of quilts stacked on my counter.

Somewhere under there is the new patten I'm working on.  My son decided he needed more storage and "borrowed" my armoir that I had some of my quilts in.  I know I told him he could have it, but it's that whole "back to reality" thing that gets me down, because seriously, like my husband said last night, when I was asking his opionion of just where he thought I might store them, every other storage area is already full of quilts!  And since, so far it's just three of my favorite quilting friends talking/reading with me here, I can admit that I still haven't unpacked my suitcase....I hate doing that! Nor have I finished reorganizing my underwear drawer that I dumped in a laundry basket while  trying to find some clean undies to take to market!

At least I get to drink out of my new coffee mug- aren't those just the cutest?  They are smaller than the old ones and just so very cute,  We used the new vendor that was at the quilt show.  Didn't she do a terrific job?  Enough already! Even though I put the "pro" in procrastination, I really must go and at least go stack those quilts in on the couch!

  1. If you unpack you will have to do laundry. Just hide that suitcase in the back of a closet and go shopping. I've been known to stuff quilts under the beds. Love the mugs. I got my special order picnic basket w/hooked buggy barn rug cover in the mail today from Ann Lindahl. ALMOST, makes me want to try hooking. Do I win a prize for the most random comment?

  2. I just unpack in the laundry room. Kill two birds with one stone. The Farm Fresh book arrived today and hasn't left my sight since I opened it. Its wonderful and surpassed the pieces on your living room floor. Darn, I just bought one of the old mugs two weeks ago with pumpkins on it. I guess I'll have to save up for a new one. Love the photos. Keep them coming.

  4. You guys are such faithful friends! Thanks for your help getting this going! Valerie, your right about the laundry dang it! would love to see your basket from Ann; I got one the year before and love it! Sandi, I still like the larger mugs- she needs the extra room to get those great snowmen on and they are great for soup now that it's soup weather. Talk to you all soon!

  7. Thanks Marsha! That was this year's quilt show. My sister had to give my husband a bad time about being tidier with his ladder and his wad of electric fence for the horse!

  8. OMG, you pack like I do! I travel so much for work, that I sometimes just get laundry done in time to repack. Hint: buy more laundry baskets! My sister lives in northern Idaho and we were able to find you shop this past summer. Of course, the week AFTER your annual show. But, none-the-less a great adventure. Good luck in your adventure with blogging.

  9. Thanks for making the trip Di! Sorry you missed the show! We have one more trip on Saturday to go to Florida to teach Crazy Camp at the West Brower and Gold Coast Quilt Guilds, and yes, it's true, I just now finished hanging up the last of my laundry! But who can complain about going to sunny Fort Lauderdale when they are threatening us with snow? Do anyone know if you can wear white after Labor Day in Florida? Does anyone follow that rule anymore? I'll tell you all about it when we get home....Pam has an aversion to gaters so unless Jane comes to take us "shining" we'll try to stay clear of the critters!
